Premier Health sponsors scholarship of Troy High School graduate – pursuing a nursing degree at WSU
In 2020, Dayton Workforce Program (DWP) awarded nine ‘Retention of Talent’ scholarships to outstanding high school seniors. One of those scholarships was presented to Breann Stith who graduated from Troy High School and is continuing her education at Wright State University to pursue a bachelor degree in nursing.
Premier Health, Dayton’s largest healthcare network, was impressed with Breann’s academic and personal qualities and wanted to sponsor her scholarship. “Premier Health provides nursing students with a broad range of career and growth opportunities. Students with education in nursing-related fields are always in demand,” said Trish Wackler, vice president of Education and the Learning Institute at Premier Health. “We are pleased to enhance our collaboration with Dayton Workforce Partnerships through our sponsorship of a ‘Retention of Talent’ scholarship for Breann Stith as she begins her nursing journey at the Wright State University.”
Doris Adler, DWP Executive Director said, “Our scholarship committee was very impressed with Breann and, we are equally delighted that Premier Health wanted to sponsor her scholarship. They are a great partner of DWP and of the Dayton community.”
Congratulations to Breann Stith, and thanks to Premier Health!
